With four Michelin stars under his belt, leading Japanese Chef Kunio Tokuoka’s first restaurant outside of Japan, Kunio Tokuoka, is a journey for the senses.
Serving Japanese haute cuisine, or Kaiseki, the menu extends beyond flavour and presentation, but also encompasses the changing seasons, ikebana flower arrangement and the history and spirit of the dishes. One such extraordinary dish is “Hassun”, which consists of ingredients such as seafood, vegetables, pine tree, nuts and flowers to express four seasons.
Using the finest ingredients from Japan and around the world, as well as integrating modern and traditional Japanese cooking techniques, Kunio Tokuoka indeed embraces the art of Japanese cuisine.
Located at Crockfords Tower at Resorts World™ Sentosa, Kunio Tokuoka is an intimate dining space showcasing numerous works of art. The theme of the restaurant follows “Rimpa”, a Japanese concept based on tradition and innovation; hence Kunio Tokuoka features artwork from three renowned Japanese artists to maintain this philosophy. On show are “Washi”, or Japanese traditional paper, wall art by Eriko Horiki; a clay and plaster display by Shuhei Hasado; and beautiful bonsai plants by Kenji Kobayashi.
