Get set for the fifth instalment of the Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, a spectacular event not to be missed. From 21-23 September, expect adrenaline-pumping races, amazing music performances, and a host of dazzling parties.
Making history back in 2008 as the first night race in FORMULA ONE history, the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix has been synonymous with an intoxicating mix of fast cars, glamorous parties, and of course, high-octane performances headlined by A-list celebrities. And that’s not all. With clubs getting into the Formula One spirit and fuelling up the scene by bringing in international DJs; some key nightspots not to be missed during Grand Prix season include Podium Lounge, Ku De Ta, St James Power Station, Avalon and many others around the Marina Bay area and around the island.
Last year, the racing event saw performances by rock group Linkin Park, Filipino sensation Charice Pempengco, sultry songstress Shakira, and groovy showman Rick Astley, to name a few. Continuing the tradition of bringing beloved international artistes to the mix, this year’s event is guaranteed to bring on the screams again this season. Set to perform at Padang’s main stage are music icons like the Grammy award winning Maroon 5, ‘California Girls’ pop sensation Katy Perry, and Asia’s R&B King Jay Chou. With more acts to be announced in the coming months, the Formula One 2012 is THE event not to be missed.
For the first time, a new category of tickets – “Combination Package” – is introduced for this 2012 race. These new specially customised Combination Packages will enable fans to experience different parts of the street circuit for each of the three days. Patrons can choose from various Turn 1, Padang and Bay Grandstand combinations. Those who would like to experience the best of the racing action as well as the entertainment programme at the main Padang stage can opt for the Zone 4 Walkabout Combination that combines the Pit Grandstand and Zone 4 Walkabout tickets.
During the early-bird phase (now until 30 April 2012), tickets are priced from S$178 for a three-day Zone 4 Walkabout ticket to S$1,088 for a three-day Pit Grandstand ticket.
